Welcome!Because you are defined not by life's imperfect moments, but by your reactions to them. And because there is joy in embracing - rather than running from - the utter absurdity of life. -Jenny Lawson I hope I didn't set your expectations too high with my witty headline, but regardless, welcome to my Apollo project page.
Who am I? Good question. I don't know either. Hopefully we can figure it out together, over the course of the next few months. I can tell you what I do know. I know that the first word that comes to mind when I'm asked to describe myself is passionate. I'm the News Editor of The Prowler and On the Prowl (school publications), an outspoken liberal, and a lover of organization and dog sweaters. I have an immense appreciation for spoken word poetry and even have a tattoo based off of a line from a poem. My Projects |
Project One- Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald
For my first ever Apollo project, I focused on Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald. Quickly captivating, research on Zelda only increased my levels of interest. A woman often deemed a sidenote to her husband, F. Scott, proved to capture the spirit of the 20s seamlessly.

Project Two- ABLE
ABLE, a partner project I did with Grace Miller, revolved around American Sign Language. Originally intrigued by sign language itself, and later by deaf culture, we learned some sign language, conducted research and attempted to create an artistic representation of an abstract concept that we wanted to bring awareness too.

Project Three- Feminism as an idea of Sisterhood
|
Project Four- Coming Soon

In a pack-like format, it seems as if women have been protecting each other for ages. In this project I questioned whether this was instinctual or a result of societal factors, among other things. With my passion hopefully being evident, I am immensely proud of this project and it is by far my favorite one yet.
