English
For my english facet of this project I wrote three poems from different views in this situation of adoption of this shelter dog. Here are my poems:
Jingles (dog)
My paws are rubbed raw
We’ve been together for years
Living on the street
Homeless man (previous owner)
To the Roxbury
I’ll have a place to sleep now
They took my bestfriends
Mandy (New owner)
Beautiful brown eyes
I vow to take care of you
You’ll be home tonight
Jingles (dog)
My paws are rubbed raw
We’ve been together for years
Living on the street
Homeless man (previous owner)
To the Roxbury
I’ll have a place to sleep now
They took my bestfriends
Mandy (New owner)
Beautiful brown eyes
I vow to take care of you
You’ll be home tonight
Social Studies
I wanted to make a flyer for my social studies aspect of my project. In my flyer I wanted to show people that adopting any animal is a serious commitment. That animal is most likely coming from a bad past, or place of neglect. By someone adopting a dog you’re giving it hope for a new life. But, when you bring a dog into your home and ignore it just as it was before you could send the dog into a depression, it could stop eating and eventually cause death. I just want people to really know what they are getting themselves into when they adopt a dog. There will be ups and there will be downs, you need prepare yourself!
