The Writing of Flight Club: The Wright Way
Flight Club was my first introduction to the process of film-making.

INT. - BRIGHTLY LIT ROOM - NIGHT - DISREPAIR - COLD
"Panning over the room, paint peels from the walls while an old ceiling fan quietly turns in the background. Two men sit silently in the center at an MDF table and steel folding chairs. They appear to know each other." -Scene 2, paragraph 1 This is one of the very first scenes for my script. It opens up the story with a bit of mystery as to the identity of the characters. Suspense builds over the rest of the scene until the reason for their 'visit' is revealed. Totaling 12 pages in length and over 3500 characters, this is the largest writing piece I have completed as of yet. This is also the first script I have written, and was a great introduction to effective use of descriptive language.

My Thoughts
Overall, this project was a very enjoyable learning experience. I can see myself writing scripts in the future and using this one as a baseline. Being able to learn not only about script writing, but also the technical challenges the Wright Brothers faced, was enlightening. Being able to combine this into one fun project was great, even with the obvious time constraints.
