Hello curious browser. Welcome to my Apollo page!
I'm a junior here at CYHS, meaning I'm close to the end of my academic journey. At this point in the journey, I'm getting tired of the same old, same old. If you're like me, Apollo is a fantastic way to switch things up. Not only is this program a way to express your interests, but it's a program that puts your creativity and responsibility to the test. Each project is your ambition. Your creation. You decide how things are done and when they get done. Of course, the teachers are there to help you when you need them. It was a challenge that my ambitious self was willing to add to my first semester schedule.
Naturally, I wanted to give my interests a chance to shine through my Apollo projects. This can be tricky for one reason: American studies. An Apollo project needs to incorporate elements of Art, English and Social Studies into itself. If you're a junior, you need to follow the standards of Honors Portfolio, Honors English lll and Honors American Studies. Art and English are fairly easy for me, but Social Studies is what trips me up the most. However, I am not one to give up; for me, quitting is not an option. So, I go to the Apollo teachers; our three teachers are brilliant and always willing to get you out of a fix. We always come up with a solution to my project problems, even if i'm not satisfied with said solution.
The links below will take you to my projects. Each have different levels of ingenuity, passion, pride and creativity that went into them. Well, what are you waiting for? Get to browsing!
