English/History
For English & History, I researched almost every product Nintendo had to offer. Using the information I received and compared old to new consoles. Whether that be through showing specifications of the console itself or comparing graphics and gameplay. The video itself shows all the information I found and shows how I analyzed the Nintendo Products. If you wish to see the video click the video at the start of the page.
Art
For my art potion I did two things. Not only did I create an arcade stick, I also made a video showing the evolution of Nintendo.
Video/Process |
Arcade stick/Process |
I created a video to demonstrate the evolution of Nintendo. Going over products from the Nintendo Entertainment System, all the way to the Nintendo Switch. Giving details about some of the most popular games for the console and specifications for the console at the time. How I edited the video? I used a software called Sony Vegas Pro 14 to edit on my windows PC. Some of the edit consists of simple cuts and transitions, to complex audio edits to enhance or make the voice recordings flow better. Footage used are from YouTubers, original commercials, or gameplay I recorded myself.

Why I created an arcade stick to show and give people experience of how gaming used to be in the arcade days. So decided to create an arcade stick, nothing too complex but simple looking. I went with all wood look, and blue buttons. Since blue and red are the classic colors my next project will be using red. The buttons I used were 16 x 30mm push buttons for the main buttons. Start and select were 4 x 24mm Push Button. I also used a 8 way Japanese joy stick, since Japanese joy sticks have faster response time, thus creating better more smooth gameplay. To wire and encode this joystick to be allowed to use on devices I used a High quality zero response USB encoder board. After Constructing all wooden pieces I glued and drilled everything together, then sanded and polished. After the process was done it went to wiring and configuring than playing.
