Project Three:
For project three, I wanted to explore my passions. I think it is important to see myself deeper before I go off to college and explore a new life of many different things. Through the arts, I printed out a life size picture of myself and mapped out where everything in my body lies according to my passions. I used acrylics, photo collages and fabric. I wrote and performed spoken word poetry about my past, present and future. For my social studies I researched colors and their meanings. I did multiple surveys and graphs.

Spoken Word:
Below is my written portion of my spoken word poem. The spacing represents the tunnel I referenced in the poem. The confusing tunnel many may fall into after people telling you what to do and how to live. I also included my performance of my spoken word poem below the text.
Surveys & Data:
Survey One & Two:
In survey one, I asked 40 people how well they thought they knew me on a scale of 1-5 and what color they thought my personality was using reference images. Here are the results and images of the surveys. in survey two, I asked 20 people who previously took the survey more questions and 20 new people questions. I also made sure to ask each person what word they associated with the color of there choosing.

Conclusion
A variety of things have contributed the various results of these two surveys. There is not a singular connection that I can point to that explains why a person chose how close they felt to me and the color they chose. This topic is very personal and I realized it can not be studied by data alone.
I am a person of many emotions and involved in many things. My friends and people at school may see me as someone who cheers people up (yellow) because at school I am generally helping others and that smiling face. My closer friends that I hang out with outside of school see me differently, as passionate, upset at times, emotional and full of much more than the smiley face. These colors could be seen as blue and purple. Looking at my results, I saw that this was true. People who have seen me outside of school and know me more deeply on an emotional level called me purple.
Thus, I do believe there is an association between people knowing me and what color they think I am. Although, it is not the level that they know me but how they know me. I do not believe there is a numerical way to measure this but only to measure it with words and background knowledge about the relationship I have with the person.
Something else that was important to ask during survey two was what people associated with the color of their choosing. Most people chose the correct association to color, but some didn’t. Many people who picked blue described adjectives that related more towards the color purple. If I chose adjectives instead of colors, I would see different results.
In conclusion, the majority of people feel they know me on a 3 or 4 level and see my personality as yellow.

My Experience:
Personally, I see myself as a pink person. Pink is the color of softness, love and calmness. Pink is culturally known as a feminine color associated with kindness, softness and compassion.
I believe I am a feminine person who has a very soft nature. When I started this survey I predicted how I saw myself would be different than others saw me. I believe that throughout my whole life, I will form relationships with many people and they will all get to know me in many ways. I feel that I am the only person that really has known myself personally my whole life and this is why my color choice is so different than what everyone around me has chosen.
Life has many stages, I believe each stage has a color to go along with that stage. I have gone through ups and downs, been happy, sad, adventurous, daring, scared, bright, smart, creative and more. No matter what stage I have gone through I have been fueled by love. This is why I see myself as pink. At the end of everyday it comes down to love. At the end of my life, I want to look back and know that no matter what I lived with love. Even in the moments of growth and of many colors. I believe everything stems from the pinkness inside of me and that I can always come back to that. I find comfort in pink.
