I've always been really interested in cooking, especially now that I am in high school. For my second project I became interested in Brazil's food so I ended up taking an vintage cookbook and reconstructing them so some of the pages would have Brazil's traditional recipes. Under each recipe title, I made short paragraphs describing the recipe and then in the back of the cookbook, I made a history section. Each paragraph in the history section explains how one or more ingredients in each recipe have been affected or influenced by people like the Portuguese and Europeans.
ART
In the photos below I used a recipe called Frango a Passarinho (Brazilian Chicken Wings) and Pão de Queijo (Brazilian Cheese Bread). Foe each page there is a few words/numbers that have a different font and that's because I cut out some of the words/numbers from other cookbooks. I did this to be a little more creative than other cookbooks that use the same font throughout the book.

English
Below each title of a recipe is a descriptive paragraph about how the recipe is. So for the English portion of this project, I made my own descriptive paragraphs on the Brazilian recipes I used. To make the cookbook have the layout of an actual cookbook, looked at other Brazilian cookbooks where the paragraphs go so that's why I put the paragraphs under the recipe name.
